You have the right to stay alive. And if circumstances become so difficult for you from some unforeseen disaster in your life, ie. Sickness or natural disaster, we give that person or family a leg up, not a hand out. And to most folks getting stuff for free does not become a way of life.

I'm far from rich, but I'm not starving, We grow a lot of food, he hunts and we preserve things. A right?
People have to eat or they will die, so in a way, eating is a right-just like drinking water.

A right can be given or taken away but you will still survive without your rights.

I have the right to provide for the food I eat. I have no right to tell others what they should or should not eat. No one has to right to compel me to pay for their food.

Society's only obligation to provide food is for public servants in remote places, the military, or the incarcerated. Everything else is theft.

I love Steak and I make no " Bones" about it. However even if I have a right to eat it, there are those I come in Contact that don't. And they have that right

But for me to eat meat in front of them, it would be a sin because I am tempting them to go against their conscience. Eating meat is not a sin and God created animals for us. That's why we have teeth.

But for those who do not eat meat.... Hey I have no problem with that as long as Groups like PETA don't try and force their beliefs on me. I mean they have a right to and I commend them for their convictions and we are all different

Well I think that is self explanetry don't you.......If we are going to die becuse we have no food....We do have a right to food.

But if as I suspect that your question intent is of a political nature then in that context...the answer would be. That, no we don't have the right to expect others to provide our food. If we are fit and able to work for and provide our own food.

I should not have to give what I have earned to anyone. If I choose to give to charity, my choice. If I choose to give to a begger, my choice. Just taking my money and giving it to people who won't work, no, not my choice.
