    Actually our body recreates itself every so often, though this might not seem so.

    This girl I know (much younger than most here) injured her shoulder in an accident and got a replacement from a cadaver / donor. Sounded pretty dubious to me but it is her shoulder.

    Yes. I have an artificial Aorta, replaced with and operation called an Aortobifemoral bypass. And doing great !

    (so far .. the braces are fine .. I just need to keep in mind that I'm no longer that 'spring chick' .. )

    Just the artificial lenses they implanted when the removed my cataracts. (I'm on "watch" for an artificial heart valve.)

    Hahaha it's way scarier sounding than it actually is. I had a good recovery and I'm happy to say I'm still able to run around, play sports, ride rollercoasters.... the human body's abiltiy to adapt is amazing! (I'm also really blessed) :)
