We have two in Michigan - Ann Arbor and Detroit. I am kind of against the whole concept though... I don't understand how illegal immigrants can be protected in these select cities... how can they override federal law?

I'm glad that we do not. People need to immigrate legally if they are going to do so. Uncontrolled immigration is already helping to destroy the economy and unbalance our entire nation. And we don't even know how many are entering who are convicted felons, etc. It is not a positive thing. I understand the reason that many want to come here, but they have to do it legally or be forced to leave. If they have no respect for our immigration laws, then they possibly will have no respect for our other laws either. If we allow people to choose certain laws that they do not wish to obey, that sets a precedent for anarchy.

We have several in Texas and I'm against the concept. While I understand the desire of people to come to the US to better themselves and the lives of their families, they MUST come legally; if not, they must be deported. Our country is a country of laws. ALL of our laws must apply to everyone. No one has the right to pick and choose which laws they will obey.
