Not that I particularly care, but it's kind of uncomfortable. I don't think that means people shouldn't do it. I know they must take it into careful consideration before getting it done, as it is a risky operation. But it's still kind of weird.

I don't care if someone gets a operation to be whatever,as long as they're not taxing me to pay for it.
You want to cut off or add body parts,pay for it yourself,then it's of no concern to me...

I have one friend who had an operation - it seemed to make him (formerly her) much happier. I don't see why it should matter to anyone else.

No i don't have a problem with anyone who has a sex change i have a problem with it when they don't tell you. what i mean by that my ex never told me he used to be a she.

this is one of those things where " your body, your choice" actually does apply, but most of them get it after they've gone through puberty and all that, so they look like the gender they are changing from. which is, frankly, discomforting

Just guessing ... sexual identity might not be his only problem. Very irresponsible (and immature) to involve his kids to the extent you describe. Kids are amazingly resilient, though, as long as they have people to listen to them talk about whatever confusion they're feeling and to take them seriously. Good luck to you all!

Definitely not his only issues. If he were doing his thing in private and sacrificing by "acting normal" in front of his kids and keeping them "safe" from the "trauma" of such a radical change in his behavior, I would have no problem with his new lifestyle. Unfortunately, the vast majority of people I have dealt with in similar situations (close to 30) have ALL had problems with their kids having "issues" in dealing with their parent's newfound lifestyle.

Absolutely not! I’m not transgender, so I have no idea of their internal struggle that brings them to this decision to alter their being. Life is short and we should be happy with who we are.
