Ecclesiastes 3:1-22 , here is a portion of those verses...
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
All things come together for good, for those who love the Lord. Sometimes, there is no explination for why things happen, but if serve God, He will bring good from it. Also, Paraphrasing, when you show love to someone who does you wrong, it is as though a heap of coals has been dumped on their head.
“If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and, though they discipline him, will not listen to them, then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city at the gate of the place where he lives, and they shall say to the elders of his city, ‘This our son is stubborn and rebellious; he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard.’ Then all the men of the city shall stone him to death with stones."
"On the following day, when they came from Bethany, he was hungry. And seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to see if he could find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. And he said to it, 'May no one ever eat fruit from you again.' "

The teaching implies that those who have prospered through wickedness will fail to make it to Heaven, whereas the good who have suffered for the sake of God will win salvation.
I have many many scripture passages that I love, as they are all so wonderful. One of my favorite scripture stories is when the women were bringing their children to Jesus, and the disciples were trying to send them away, and Jesus rebuked the Disciples, telling them to Allow the little Children to come unto him. I so often think of Jesus calling my oldest child, Naomi unto him, and indeed, Sister. It is well with my soul.
The only one I can recall is the one from the movie Pulp Fiction (which I later found out is not 100% accurate):
Ezekiel 25:17. "The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee"
Matthew 7:1,2 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
