    I end up wasting the whole can every time!! I can never get them to open and I do end up cut!

    Well, Spam and ham come in the same kind of cans.
    The idea is to make it easier to open them, but some times something goes wrong with that system, and the next step is dangerous. So yea, I have mixed feelings about them cans, but I sort of hate them.

    i have to end up cutting the whole frek`n thing in half with a 2 inch pocket knife,just TO GIVE TO MY MOM SO SHE CAN SMOTHER IN MUSTARD AND THEN EAT WHILE I SIT THERE ON THE GROUND AND TAKE CARE OF MY FREK`N CUTS!!!!!! pocket knifejust mom smother mustard eat ground care frekn cuts

    Yes,I hate them.I always manage to break it half way and Grrrrr!!!!! I never by them because of the stupid key opener.

    I like those cans. you can use them anywhere.
    if you loose the key you can just use some pliers or make a key with a paperclip

    They are a great enduring design.

    Despite my Oirish heritage, I've only had corned beef once, at a dinner theater production my mom's cousin acted in. It reminded me of Alpo before I tried it, but it was tasty!

    I buy 1 or 2 cans a year. Since the late 70's I've had good luck & bad luck with those cans. Keep PLIERS handy!

    You know, one day I opened a can of meat like that. The next day I open a can of dog food. I haven't opened a can of meat since.

    my brother posted this question yesterday cuz mom asked him to open a can. it took him an hour of stabbing it with the pocket knife!! those cans suck. by the time he got it opened we could not use it
