I hates the ones that are totally false but in some case more "soft" stereotype can be true so I'd say yes and no.

Not at all. Stereotypes help the police catch criminals. Non stereotypes waste everyone's time and it looks rather foolish thinking Grandma here is going to take out a jumbo jet.

Yes

Stereotypes are a way of avoiding having to think or having to actually get to know someone. "Oh, he's gay, so he does this and this and likes this and hates this and I'll steer clear of him entirely."

So yes. I hate stereotypes.
