I admit I am not good at it. Oh how I wish I could get this pile of paperwork to make sense. The pile just seems to get bigger. It is getting so bad that the mail is becoming my enemy. Just more paperwork. I really need to get organized, but I don't have the motivation.
I'll take any suggestions. It's really starting to bother me.

For me organization is the key to success. Its like going into the kitchen to prepare a meal and its all CLEAN and ready to create something great. Yes I am a fantastic cook

I crave organization and neatness. Unfortunately, I sometimes get a wee bit lazy and, whoops, out with organization, in with chaos. But that doesn't last too long because I can't sleep until it's fixed up after a couple days. I find that I manage my affairs a whole lot more smoothly when I'm organized than when I'm not.

I used to be OCD organized, but finally realized the futility of it, plus I work for someone that could be the poster child for OCD behavior. I am OCD myself, but am NOT a clean freak, after dealing with someone much worse off than myself I am put off by extreme neatness!

I love being completely organized. If everything around me is in disarray my thoughts aren't as organized, and if my head isn't organized how can I expect myself to make wise decisions. I'm not crazy organized, I just like everything in it's place and CLEAN!

I never considered it as an emotional reaction.

I personally organize my "things" in a way that is convenient and meets my needs, others might find it disorganized. Organization is not a topic or "event" that evokes any emotions from me beyond "frustration" when its disrupted by someone else.

This is a pet peeve of mine. My daughter is so disorganized and it does not bother her a bit. And if I try and tidy up her mess, she says she can't find anything anymore. I guess I am just a neat freak and disorganization just drive me up the wall. I like to know where all my things are at all times. And everything to be in its place.

My son is always looking for stuff. I told him put it in the same place every time and you will know where it is. My family calls me a neat freak. Whats wrong with keeping things picked up and being tidy?

I am with you. My daughter is always losing things too. And my family always gets after me for constantly picking up after them. They say I put things where they can't find them. But they couldn't find them anyway and at least I know where they are. I don't see how people can stand to live in such utter chaos. Life is so much simpler when things are kept neat and in order.

I was extremely organized but in recent years have relaxed some on it. My garage tools are either hung up or stored in a tool cart, all nails labeled, as a matter of fact everything is pretty much labeled. I hate having to look for anything.
