Being a young mum, I get it a LOT. If you don't know me, you can't fairly judge me. If you want to know, ask - don't stare and talk behind my back. It's unfair to judge others at any rate because you never know what your own life will become in a week/month/year/decade, judging without even knowing them is even worse.

And no. If you're talking about here on SH, I just consider the source and move on. Out in public is a little different. Sometimes it's harder to just move on when it happens.

nah...because without your facts, theyre not really making a very good judgement, and even further......to really get to know someone is to know them....things take time to know someone....ive married women after 6 months and was divorced a little over a year later, and..........i think they would say they didnt know me as well as they thought. agree?

I hate it for them but I do not hate it for me. If they choose to judge me and write me off without getting to know me it is their loss and not mine.

I am guilty of assuming things but I do not judge. I always get to know people and try to be as approachable and kind as I can be. If someone appears to be gay or any other lifestyle choice I may observe them as such but I try to get to know them and I do not concern myself with it. If they choose to open up and discuss or make known the things I am curious about that is cool but if for some reason they do not that is no big deal. It does not hurt me either way.

If a person dresses a certain way such as metal head, biker, punk rocker and the such I find it wrong to feel I know all I need to know about a person. There are so many layers to people and how we dress or what lifestyle choices we make does not by itself say everything we need to know about them. Whether we are conservative, liberal, democrat, republican, biker, redneck, punk rocker, gay, straight, bi or any other thing what counts is how we treat people in our lives. While I may not agree with certain ways of life or certain aspects about people it is their choice. I do not judge but simply disagree with it. That does not mean I can not or would not befriend someone...

Tolerance is the one thing I think many people need to learn. Someone you could be writing off could be a best friend and you are losing out because of being closed minded and not learning to see more than black and white.
