    Bro. Mar.
Matt.4:4/Luke 4:4 And Jesus answered him,That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God(Deut.8:3).And Jesus :is The Bread of Life(John 6:35);is a Spirit(John 4:24/2nd Cor.3:17);is Light(John 8:12;1st John 1:5);is Life(John 1:1-14;11:25;14:6);and is Love(1st John 4:7-9;5:1).And the things which are impossible with men is possible with God((Luke 18:27).This is the truth and not an opinion.Shalom!

Personally, i love a good debate! The bible is excellent for just that. I dont know anyone who debates the satanic bible do you? heres one of my newest topics to debate on the bible: my own public interpretation of the flood story is that since it was written from that area of the world, that perhaps it was just a "regional flood". Lets say you lived on the island of greece...if it was flooded, it might seem to you that the ENTIRE world was flooded, thats just my own personal public interpretation. steves bible schmack. fort worth texas 2012.

I used to be a Christian. Left it two years ago. Read "The Satanic Bible" by Anton Lavey and found it to be logical and flexible. The Bible on the other hand....controversial and hard to apply and contradictory. Why waste more time?

Neither, both were authored by men...

Neither have any evidence of fact.

Both are opposite and equal in promoting faith of a belief of one person's idea and ideal.

They both have merits of a social guideline of a moral standpoint, [you'll have to read both for the comparison]

I'm sure the religious trolls will argue that the book of shadows is evil - they obviously haven't read it.

All followers of satanic rites will have a copy of the bible...

The Satanic Bible is a collection of essays, observations, and rituals published by Anton LaVey in 1969. It contains the core principles of the religion of LaVeyan Satanism, and is considered the foundation of its philosophy and dogma.[1] It has been described as the most important document to influence contemporary LaVeyan Satanism.[2] Though The Satanic Bible is not considered to be sacred scripture in the way the Christian Bible is to Christianity, LaVeyan Satanists regard it as an authoritative text;[1] it has been referred to as "quasi-scripture."[3] It extols the virtues of exploring one's own nature and instincts. Believers have been described as "atheistic Satanists"[4] because they believe that God is not an external entity, but rather something that each person creates as a projection of his or her own personality—a benevolent and stabilizing force in his or her life.[5][6] There have been thirty printings of The Satanic Bible,[7] through which it has sold over a million copies.[8]

The Satanic Bible is composed of four books: The Book of Satan, The Book of Lucifer, The Book of Belial, and The Book of Leviathan. The Satanic Bible is composed of four books: The Book of Satan, The Book of Lucifer, The Book of Belial, and The Book of Leviathan. The Book of Satan challenges the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule, and promotes hedonism.[9] The Book of Lucifer holds most of the philosophy in The Satanic Bible, with twelve chapters discussing topics such as indulgence, love, hate, and sex. LaVey also uses the book to dispel rumors surrounding the religion. In The Book of Belial, LaVey details rituals and magic. He discusses the required mindset and focus for performing a ritual, and provides instructions for three rituals: those for sex, compassion, or destruction.[10] The Book of Leviathan provides four invocations for Satan, lust, compassion, and destruction.[11] It also lists the nineteen Enochian Keys (adapted from John Dee's Enochian keys), provided in both Enochian and translated to English.[12]

There have been both positive and negative reactions to The Satanic Bible. It has been described as "razor-sharp"[13] and "influential".[14] It is very significant to the LaVeyan Satanist community, and has been praised as engaging to those not part of the community as well.[15] Criticism of The Satanic Bible stems both from qualms over LaVey's writing and disapproval of the content itself. LaVey has been criticized for plagiarizing sections,[16] and accusations have been made that his philosophies are largely borrowed.[17][18] The Satanic Bible has been heavily condemned as dangerous, particularly to adolescents.[19] Attempts have been made, both successfully and unsuccessfully, to ban the book in schools, public libraries, and prisons,[20][21][22] though these attempts are somewhat rare.[23]

Dude, good call on defending your belief that both the bible and the satanic bible are evil, but holy holy faux pas! At least try not to reference wikipedia! Anyone can edit it! I find it fun to look at and sometimes the references are correct, but seriously, it's a very flawed set of knowledge when it comes to anything subjective. I am currently in an editing battle over kolache's on there, and believe me, the info changes all the time!

I only quoted wikipedia because it agrees with my understanding and beliefs on this matter.

"The Satanic Bible is a collection of essays, observations, and rituals published by Anton LaVey in 1969." We know that this is true so the source is irrelevant.

The word "Satan" that is used in the Bible is the word # 7854 (Hebrew) in the Strong's Concordance and simply means adversary or opponent.

The etymology of the term "Satan" means: proper name of the supreme evil spirit in Christianity, O.E. Satan, from L.L. Satan (in Vulgate, in O.T. only), from Gk. Satanas, from Heb. satan "adversary, one who plots against another," from satan "to show enmity to, oppose, plot against," from root s-t-n "one who opposes, obstructs, or acts as an adversary." In Septuagint (Gk.) usually translated as diabolos "slanderer," lit. "one who throws (something) across" the path of another (see devil), though epiboulos "plotter" is used once.
In biblical sources the Hebrew term the satan describes an adversarial role. It is not the name of a particular character. Although Hebrew storytellers as early as the sixth century B.C.E. occasionally introduced a supernatural character whom they called the satan, what they meant was any one of the angels sent by God for the specific purpose of blocking or obstructing ...

[Elaine Pagels, "The Origin of Satan," 1995]
Satanist is attested from 1550s, applied by their enemies to Protestant sects.

Now, as a Deist I feel the attributes of the Creator (God) must be inculpable or he is not worth praise. Therefore I will quote my Rabbis and see if that is satisfactory for you.

    THIS GOES OUT TO EVERYONE!!
An extreamly misunderstood religion! There are many different faiths under satanism. The most common is LeVayan Satanism, founded by Anton LeVay. Laveyan Stanism does Not mean you worship the devil at all. Its the type of satanism where you practice self-indulgence, and believe that you are your own god. Its more like an atheist. but it would be a lot more understood if it was called something else, like maybe Humanism...

"THEISTIC SATANISM" IS THE TYPE OF SATANISM WHERE YOU ACTUALLY WORSHIP A LITERAL SATAN!!! Most teenagers who claim to be satanists do not know the concept of Satanism themselves. People should actually know what satanism really means before they bash it and call the people evil who do bad things!
