I get them frequent. My doctor prescribed meds & I have a standing order for Demerol at urgent care, but that didn't work last migrane I had.

I suffer from frequent, chronic migraines....and I've been taking the prescription med Imitrex for many years now for relief. I couldn't be without it.
Your doctor needs to have you try Imitrex, or some of the other similar migraine drugs, to find the right one that works best for you. Good luck to you.

They went away when I got over 50. Before that I used to massage my temples.

That's what I do. My doctor gave me amitryptalene I recently had to stop taking that because of side effects.

When I feel one coming on I turn down the lights and get a cold cpack for my head. If it get wores after that I take Butalbital, perscribed by my doctor, it's really just a caffine pill but it works wonders.

I take Imitrex right away along with ibuprofen in order to decrease the inflammation. Also a ice pack to the head help a lot. And rest, if you can. I have had migraine since I was little and now I an 41 and still do.

Caffeine. Works in a few minutes and helps asthma attacks too. Dilates the blood vessels. Try coffee or one of those energy drinks.
