YES .. the kind that makes me so physically ill ..
that all I can do is stay at home
with drapes drawn
(no lighting at all)
and try to not move too much ..
(I've got meds I take for the worst of these .. )
Unfortunately, I suffer from Migraines. I can sometimes get them up to 4 times a week. It sucks horribly :( Especially at work, because I have to answer phones and work on a computer all day
I feel sorry for you. I went through that for about 6 years. Had all kinds of tests, all kinds of meds, nothing worked until the doctor prescribed a med that did work, and I haven't had one since. In fact, I don't get headaches anymore.
I wish they could find my miracle medication. I've have my migraines for about 10 years now. I've had all sorts of tests done, and many different meds, and nothing has worked. Maybe helped ease the pain a bit, but they always come back.
Headaches, Migraines, Cluster Headaches, Tension Headaches... I get them all, and I get them on a near daily basis. It's horrible to be in pain 80% of the time. They can get really bad (Like 8 on a scale on 1 - 10) and they last *for days at a time* (One of the worst ones l had lasted for up to 9 days!) Over the counter medications *do not work* and I can no longer get my prescription for Imitrex and Inderal (which worked miracles for me!), so when they hit I suffer badly, and it really does make you feel like you are dying or want to die. :(
Really bad when I was a teen-ager but they disappeared in my forties. Horrible when they happened. If I was in highschool a migraine would happen and I had to walk out and go home to bed without checking with the nurse or anyone and when I went to lie down I couldn't speak to anyone or explain. Even the school nurse just let me walk by and go home. My family just recognised it and I went to bed and was left alone until it ended.
I don't allow my brain to mingle with one thought for long for it to have any symptoms of Migraines! It is taxed with varied neurons so he is always on the run & makes me on the double, to avoid it all.

Maybe I will talk to my Neurologist about Amerge, and see what he says. Thank you very much :)
And yes, Migraines are indeed terrible
