I get little ones in which case I can usually shake them off that same day by listening to some music or just going to sleep. Only time I get big ones is if I'm stressing about something.
I used to, and once it lasted for 2 months... but then I met some awesome people in my life and because of them I've never felt depressed! Sad? Idk for 5 mins and then I'm over it lol.
Also, I got myself more involved in stuff - like drawing, reading books, learning space and history etc. and listening to music always helps! Of course. (;
A few years back I started to keep track of them. I noticed many times it was before my period. I found they lasted 10-14 days. They don't happen the same time all the time, but how long they last has been constant. I call it a "dark space".
Usually my sadness morphs into anger instantly. maybe it's a defense mechanism or I was just raised that way where anger drives me. Either way I'm glad I get angry instead of depressed.
Some days are harder than others to get up out of bed, some months I dont check my mail (making for a rather long list of overdue fees and the like), somedays I get home from work and just cry to my dog...depression is a constant battle for me.
I lied. After I lost my job I was very depressed, but now I've kinda got used to living off everyone else. Yea this is the life, I should have been doing this a long time ago. I don't care who is paying for it . You people just keep working so I can enjoy my life.
I know. My wife fights depression. It was terrible when she was younger. She has been lucky enough to learn the signs and how to deal with it without taking meds.
I get mini one's close to a daily basis, usually within the first hour of waking up. Then there are the marathons, where I can't sleep, eat, I turn off the phone, I block the windows so no light can come in, and just play dead.
