Even a great one does...all well intentioned but obliquely veiling true reality and often wrought with deception, misinformation and illusions.

Sometimes people, for whatever reason, choose to align "malicious intent" to words even when "intent" is not of a malicious nature.

Actually, when someone uses it in my presence (appropriately, of course), it is not offensive to me. But I checked offensive because I can't come out and say I don't have any problem with it. The word itself is just yucky. I prefer "twizzle." Hah!

Because I'm cool and I don't automatically associate with something negative or sexual.

It's a vagina. If you're offended by that you might as well be offended by elbow and toes.

Maybe "offended" is the wrong word when dealing with me.
We can try "disgusted" or even "grossed out".
    How about that ?.;-)

A guy is sitting next to a girl on the bus.

Guy "Can I smell your vagina?"

    Girl "WHAT?! NO WAY!"

Guy "It must be your feet."

Exactly what should it be called that is less offensive? I think vagina sounds a bit more professional then any of the various slang terms.

I'd guess the reasoning behind the term has to do with what some men become when they see breasts. Still, "boobies" has cracked me up since I first heard the word in this context.
