Thats a pretty sad post. I am probably stepping in a minefield, but here what "always" worked for me when I wanted to pull out of a funk or get "unsad". Go find the best looking most frisky dog you can, lease it to "walk" it if you can't own it. Then just "happen," to have to take it with you to the park, party, pool, etc. In fact, sometimes it worked too well in college. It was like, "Damn, he caught two girls. Now what am I going to do? Should I throw one of 'em back in the pond." II'm sure it will work just as well for guys (carry a frisbee). It was amazing. If I could have patented it, I would have.
I feel loved by my family everyday, and that is a wonderful sort of love I think a huge percentage of us feel. But family is a kind of "love by default" in that most people love their family without question.
The other love, the kind that someone outside of your family chooses to have for you, is very special, and quite rare. I haven't felt THAT sort of love for a very long time.
Until very recently, that is. And now I realize just how wonderful that kind of love can be. It really shouldn't be taken for granted, which is the trap I think many of us fall prey to.
You know what would *really* make me feel special though, Trace? I would feel *very* special if you would just stay on the phone with me instead of taking small breaks to comment on SodaHead!
