    Yes I fear death because it is a part of a healthy survival instinct. It's what makes me stop and look both ways before crossing the street. It's the core of my defensive driving attitude when I'm on my motorcycle. From a philosophical sense, no, I do not fear death. I am mortal, I accept that fact and is what makes the gift of life all that much more precious and sweet. Maybe I should have chose 'none of the above,' but I think I chose correctly.

    Death might be a part of life, but you only OFFICIALLY get to do it once. The assurance that I'll have people waiting for me helps, but in spite of life being one difficulty after the next, there are a lot of things I would miss about it that I'm fairly certain I wouldn't get in heaven. And that's supposing I would make it into heaven!

    I just look at death as the next chapter or what is next. I believe it was Albert Einstein who said this and I don't know if I am quoting exactly right, but, the saying is "I was dead billions of years before I was born and it didn't bother me at all".

    I must say although I don't fear my own death, I do fear the death of my loved ones.

    Why fear it? It all happens to us. I think what we fear is 'how' we will pass on. Not death itself in a matter of speaking.

    No I. Have had fun. When its my time I will be okay with it. I know many of you don't believe in heaven but I saw a glimpse of it. It is real. I have held the hands of many people as they crossed over during my nursing career , i have watched them smile, reach for a loved one and then leave. There is a peace that only comes from God and he will be there for me when I go home.

    As you get older, I think you come to accept the fact that our time is limited and that every day brings you closer to the end. I just don't want to die violently, like in an accident. Some people have such long, painful deaths, I would fear that aspect. But not the aspect of passing out of this existence.

    i wouldn't say im afraid of death, there is no reason to be, im athiest so i dont believe in any form of consciousness after death, so to me its like fearing nothing. i am however afraid of running out of time, of not being able to say goodbye to those i love etc.

    All fears and worries stem from the fear of death. To fear death is to waste it with worry and typically unjustified fears. To live fully, we must overcome our instinctive fear of death.

    I don't fear death, but its not that I am not afraid. I just think that it is foolish to fear something that will come no matter what you do.

    I neither fear nor not fear death. In fact, I welcome it. If you know that you're just going to die anyway, why not end it now and live with the Lord quicker, hmmm?

    After you have had Hadji trying desperatley trying to kill you , you tend to accept death as a part of everyday life. It comes when it comes.....nothing you or I can do .
