Do you ever wonder if the world be better off without you in it?

I think about it alot really.

I'm happy with my life and I think for the most part I'm a good person.

but sometimes I don't think it would make much difference either way.

Absolutely, but this is only a theoretical discussion. As the world itself has nothing to do with you, and your impact is so small that the world will not remember it (on average). There have been many people in the history of the planet that would have in fact left the globe in a better situation if they had died at Birth.

To come right down to the point of the discussion. You would never know IF the world was better off without you, as you would not be present. However speaking from a sterile point of view, an individual's impact on the planet is so small usually that it wouldn't matter either way.

I feel real insecure these days about my family hating me and stuff. (because trust me it does seem they do)

Well Elizabeth, what does insecurity have to do with wondering if the world would be better off with you? Strictly speaking, do you think your family would be better off without you AFTER they had known you? or are you talking about before you were born? It does matter so you know, because who knows if they wouldn't have had another child instead of you?

As far as exiting the planet AFTER they have known you, I can tell you with all certainty THAT idea is incredibly selfish. Things might seem like they're tough at the moment, however you seem young from your passage here, so I can promise you bright, wonderful adventures ahead of you as you get older.

I often feel that after I retire from the military, that I have nothing more to offer this world.

I've always valued LIFE itself ..
(and never gave any bit of mind to those HATERS at all)

but there's certainly been those I've come across ..
who'd like to believe that the world would be a better place withOUT me (or someone else)

I attempted suicide when I was much younger. I'm grateful to still be alive, but I still often think that the world doesn't benefit from my existence and no one really cares about me, so.

I recently had a disturbing come to reality kinda thing.... Ever since Obama came along....and other problems beyond my control...my life has just fallen apart around me... I came from nothing you see....and I worked my self nearly to death to finally have some thing decent in my life...to sit here and watch it all being taken away....my ability as a man being taken away.....my country being given to illegal scum....handed over to muslims...I sort of realized the other day... I am technically worth more to my family dead then alive... And when the day comes a man realizes that....its a bad day... My death would bring my children and wife more money then I make.... And would help them to survive... Its a sad truth.

Yes I do. I think everyone does at one point or another.

To be honest, I don't think anyone would really miss me,

I am but one grain of sand in a world of billions. My shelf live means little but to those within my family. I am expendable just like everyone else, no more, no less.

I used to think that. But now I know that I am amazing in every way possible.
