I love fruit and meat cooked together. But not just any hodge podge mix. I like apples and pork. I like chicken and blueberries or lemon or apples or oranges. I like roast and pears, and raisins can impart a lovely flavor to red meat.
Seasoning and slow cooking is so important for this type of cuisine. Unless of course one is frying apples and pork chops, which is a good quick meal.
