I barely bumped some scoundrel in bumper to bumper traffic on his temporary bumper.
Months later I find out my insurance went up to pay for the "damage" on this guys 2x4 $1500!
Insurance fraud is rampant. I complained to the company, the state, everyone. Its all BS
Do You Currently Pay More for Car Insurance Because of an Accident or Ticket?

Most of us do our best to follow the rules when we're on the road, but life happens. Maybe you were running late to a meeting, risked going a few miles per hour over the speed limit, and got caught; maybe you didn't realize there was a "No Right on Red" sign and went for it, even though you know there was a police car right behind you. Even talking on your phone can get you in trouble in most states.
Whatever your experience with getting (or avoiding) traffic tickets, we want to hear about it. If you have a minute or two, take our 8-question poll, and feel free to explain yourself in the comments section! It's rarely a simple story.

i.e. Young & Male.
Lower Rates...Max Coverage for both Bodily and Collision......
Totaled once car in 2005, rates never went up....
I pay 350 for my insurance on my older car because I am a single white male thats under 30.
So, I fought it; reasearched my state law and filed motions with the court and the police department. The video tape was not used as evidence and the Judge threw out my case. I would encourage all who receive these tickets to have your day in court. Especially if the time you entered into the intersection was less than about 1 second after the light turned red.
Heh... if it paid three times as much as it does.
