If tears come into my eyes, I can't hold them back and can weep for hours. Once I cried for a fortnight non-stop. I hate crying in front of others, but have no control. Any suggestions on how to hold my tears more than gratefully received?
i try to think of something else, something happy, and i usually try and turn my head away but not make it obvious, but there are times when it's close to impossible for me to avoid this
I am most generally in 'control'!
there are a few things that will make the tears roll!
happiness being the most apparent!
I am most strong when others need someone
to hold to! Even thru my own pain!
When I was younger, I would try to hold them back. I had this thought that once I started I wouldn't be able to stop. Like a Vulcan, I found the act of crying painful. I evolved since then, and have been know to cry at touching dog food commercials. It's better to not let pressure build in a boiling pot.
It can be difficult at times, I felt quite sorry for Andy Murray. Sometimes when I hear old WW1 or 2 songs I get a bit of lump in the throat thinking of the sacrifices those magnificent men and women made and how much I admire their courage in the field and when they came home to try to settle into normal life again.

In death I will feel my emotions, in life they only hold me back.
