Do you consider what those with opposing views say or do you just write if off because it's coming from the opposition?

I mean do you think about it, maybe even do little research or because it's coming from the opposition you just say no.
It's hard to believe people can disagree on every single issue but seems that way on sodahead.

- Reverend Hell 2012/06/16 16:41:58I consider before I decide+1I take intelligent debate into consideration- I don't mind opposing points of view, even if they disagree with my own. (When they're NOT delivered as a stream of random craziness, that is...)reply
- Andy Fletcher 2012/06/16 16:34:04I consider before I decide+1I listen and see if there is something to learn. My only requirement is that you be talking fact that can be proven. I don't accept biased sources from either side.reply
- Sam DePecan 2012/06/16 16:22:59If it's coming from the opposition I ignore it and just say no+1To tell you the truth; the opposition NEVER has "A View" but only has a "Different View" in opposition to my own. I actually respect all views, but once I recognize the fact that it is only opposing MY VIEW then I ignore those stupid political games. I have actually seen people such as THAT argue with themselves. I know it sounds bizarre, but it does happen.reply
- acronombe2012 2012/06/16 16:22:03I consider before I decide+2I'm willing to listen. That's how things are learned. Sometimes I find out I was wrong about something & other times I find out I was spot on, just by listening to & hearing what others have to say. No matter how much you learn, there's always more to learn.reply
- Lily 2012/06/16 16:11:09I consider before I decide+2I enjoy disagreement, it gives me a perspective I didn't have before. I like to research and if someone is right, I gained insight and knowledge I didn't have before. How is gaining knowledge ever wrong?reply

- Tamara McMillan 2012/06/16 14:38:15Undecided+1There are some issues I already have my mind made up on and need not consider otherwise BUT I do always listen to the opposition. In many cases it will help in learning or to see the whole picture. Otherwise it is a must if you are to have any empathy at all.reply
