Do you consider that you are spiritual or religious - or is it all the same to you?

spiritual...I have a relationship with god but i do not like church.

Religious and spiritual -- for me it's a blend of both. I try to do what I think is "right" and what "feels right" in my heart.

I prefer to think ...both. seems hard to separate the spiritual from the God.

Most religious people are spiritual as well, although to be spiritual you don't need to be religious. I consider myself to be both.

Spiritual is an ability to realate to everything around you from your own inner being.

Religious is to subscribe to any one of the 1000's of different religious organizations and their dogma, doctrines and beliefs.

I am part of the earth and the earth part of me there is a spiritual connection in my mind. The existence or non existence of a deity can not be proven and therefore must be accepted on faith. I have no faith to speak of.

I have never really thought to classify it either way. I am a follower of Christ (something I sincerly work at every day) I am a child of God. My main concern is my relationship with God. I do not currently go to church but I do not consider it something I would never do...so I guess I would be considered more spiritual...?

I'm spiritual, I do not BELONG to any religion. To me if you have to BECOME A MEMBER then its organized with a spacific belief system. NO ONE knows what Faith is right, they can only believe what they feel is right. I believe in God, I try to do the right things and I pray. I do not judge those that have " a religion " nor do I judge those who do not believe. I don't need a man in a thousand dollar suit to tell me about God. I need my choice of Bible and my studies, and my faith to get me through. If I'm wrong, its my cross to bare.

Some people are both, some are either or, and some are neither! Most religious people, I'd assume would fit into the greater catagory as spiritual, though. The spiritual aren't always religious or belong to a certain religion. For me personally, both, I do belong to a church, though my own personal beliefs make me think that I tend to be more spiritual (:

I am spiritual because I believe in God and I'm absolutely okay with all the names anyone would give the energy I belive God is.

Religious, spiritual or philosophical they are all the domain of the believer.....Even science is a offshoot of Catholicism. Long, long long before science was popular and respectable. The Catholic Church had a department that was responsible for exploring the universe for clue's to mans past, present and future.

I'm more spiritual. Never been a member of a church, never baptized into a religion either. But I'm not an atheist.

I always thought of religious as someone that consistently went to church every Sunday. That person didn't always strike me as a true believer if you will. Then I looked the word up and found I had been wrong. religious - Having or showing belief in and reverence for a deity., is one definition. Spiritual I thought was someone that believed but didn't go to church. spiritual - Concerned with sacred matters, religion or the church is one definition, and the same as one definition of religious.

I am one of those people who seperate faith and religion. Religion tends to be about "dogma". it is a man created control factor. faith is a personal relationship with the creator.

I recall a bible story about a very devote christian who was traveling to the city to destruy non christians when god apeared to him and told him it was not about what men wanted it was about what god wanted he told the man to have vision to have "chazown".

I also recall when some missionaries came to my door and I said I had no interest in their ministeries becasue my faith wasn't derived from any religion and they told me that I should understand that THEIR god was infanent while my god was finite. I replied that they had that backwards as I was not capable of laying claim to the god in charge of my life. I belonged to the creator teh creator did not belong to me he was to great t be claimed by anyone while theirs was clearly not so great as to be owned by man.

THey didn't like that....

I am a more spirtual person yes I am a member of an organized religion but I feel that my faith and walk with God is my own personal "walk" sure in that walk it brings me into interaction with other people
