So much is made of this question on both sides of the aisle. I believe it is a biological issue rather than a choice issue. I mean you don't choose to be black, white or asian. So what makes people think you choose to be gay. The characteristics of which often become obvious in early childhood. Are we to think that a child of 10 to 12 years of age has chosen to be gay?

There are people who may experiment, but in the end, you can't really choose. My dad's coworker knew he was gay for years, and tried to cover it up by marrying and having four children. How do we think this ended?

You're Born With It, No matter if its gay, straight, Bisexual, pansexual, asexual, whatever. I think We all just come aware of What our orientation is as we get older. I think the only real choice about our sexuality is to be open about who we are, or lie about it.

I believe you are born with your sexual orientation. There are those that choose, but I think it's more of an attempt to try and fit in somewhere than anything. If you're truly gay, my belief is that you're born that way. Be proud of yourself, regardless of your sexual orientation, and don't let the yaps get ya down.

I think it is a combination of BOTH genes and the life experiences. Not that they choose, but not that all of them are born with it either.

I don't believe that our character/orientation is laid out for us at birth...that would mean that we have no free will over who we are. I think that the things happen to us throughout our life shape our orientation, conciously or unconciously.

I thought it was...like...your upbringing.
Like, if you had a difficult childhood or are around homosexuals then you have a higher chance of being homosexual. That sorta thing.
But that might not be true.

Of course you are born with it, but some guys need long time to realize what's their orientation. In some societies it is very difficult to be bi or gay, so they live a lie. But this is not really a choice.

You can also choose to NOT be so "orientated" on just about everything that moves in this world and stuff that remains still . . . Like, who cares if you have to be orientated in something? . . . I know what let's do . . . Let's spend about a 3 or 4 hundred billion dollars on being orientated in stuff . .. . Why not? If you don't want to contribute to the Orientated Factor by Midnight April 15th, then you are a Bigot and Orientated Phobic . . .
