Only once a year or when I plan on actually using my credit for something. It's not like it changes very much and it costs money to check it frequently.

Even if you don't use credit, you should check it once a year (you get a freebie each year) to make sure no one stole your info. People who don't use credit often are at the biggest risk for fraud. It doesn't mean you have to start using credit, it just means you need to make sure that no one is out there wrecking your good name. I had to deal with some of that and it's a nightmare to get fixed.

You are right. I have been asuming that since my income is so small and I haven't used credit in 18 years that no one would be able to do that.
