I believe all people may do good things on occasion, but all are inherently evil to a degree. Consider all things "evil", selfishness, slovenly, gluttonous, hateful, greedy, and the list goes on.

No. There are bad, evil people in this world. Some hide it well, some try to hide it, some can't hide it and some don't try to hide it all.

We have to use discernment where evil is concerned.

In other words.... use common sense.

I've always had good common sense.... BUT.... I've been fooled too....

Yes, but I also believe that some people have the ability to totally quash any good they have in them and they go ahead and commit atrocities anyway. Sometimes the good is just buried way, way deep. It is the lucky folks who manage to find friends and loved ones to bring that good out, but it's not easy, considering they're usually pretty nasty folks to deal with.

Everybody has a little good in them, even if it's only a drop. Some people are just able to completely cover it until it's just a small memory. They don't use it.

Okay well that I won't disagree on, but back then things were much more aggressive, people fought for lands, back then fighting was the norm. Honestly I don't think he was evil, just human.
