    ...I don't do religion, but as I understand it, if the pope decrees something, his saying it MAKES it true (..to Catholics, anyway..), hence the infallibility...

    The current pope has already doubled back and pretended an earlier teaching did not exist for a newer teaching. First, he condemned anyone using condoms for any reason, and then he said that it was an acceptable way to prevent STD infection. Well, what is it? Big Brother, here, is not as infallible as the Ministry of Truth wants you to believe.
