Jesus wouldn't have even known what a "republic" was. "Libertarianism" wasn't even possible at that time, with religion and state being joined at the hip, if not the rest of the body politic as well.

I do not condemn anyone who has different religious beliefs than myself. Besides, religion and government are two completely separate entities.
