How is loving and having sexual relations with the opposite gender harmful? People are born with specific love. They have the right to love who they want to love and show how they love each other. During the time the bible was written, it was socially unacceptable to love the same gender. How does that affect us today in our modern world. None of us have any right whatsoever to tell someone they are opposing god's will for loving the same gender! If a god didn't want people to do such a thing, considering he's all powerful, he could simply put a stop to it all without violence or even letting anyone know. What's funny is that it hasn't happened. (what a coincidence)

Can we please stop with these questions? It's getting repetitive and I swear the only reason why these are asked are to incite vitriol.

And it's the same as every other one before it. It does nothing but cause both sides to flare up and this argument to only be worthwhile when eating popcorn.

Sorry, I've only been on here a week. I haven't seen all the questions. Only some. Besides, it's an opinion site. That's the way the cookie crumbles.

It is no different than any other form of deviance. Same standing as rape in my book.

While I do believe that homosexual activity is immoral and a sin. I don't assess it the same as rape. Rape hurts someone unwilling. Homosexual sex involves two people intent on sin.

Yes. I agree in the lords eyes, but not in societies eyes or the way it should be punished. Mans laws govern on earth God's laws govern in heaven. We are not God. Therfore crimes that hurt others get higher punishment. As they should.

Yes, live YOUR life. I think it is immoral, but I don't hate that sin anymore than I hate adulterers, or fornicators.

All sin is sin, I don't hate sin, God told us we are all sinners. It is mine to accept someone's sin or not, I do not accept their sin anymore than I accept a rapist's sin.

But I am tired of it being forced on all of us as the norm. Less than 5% of the US population is homosexual. (of course I will be labeled a bigot for saying that)

i have gay family members who think the homosexual agenda has pushed a bit too much. (they are Log Cabin Republicans)

Be careful with your words Jack's pearl. If a 49 year old adult loves a 12 year old in a sexual manner that is not immoral?

    "Loving someone is NEVER immoral"

Your statement didn't say, Mutual homosexual love is never wrong, you said love is NEVER wrong, which is innacurate. 90% of child molesters say they "Loved" their victim.

Ok, well, I was talking in the context of what this question is about. Take what you wish from it. Nothing I can do about that. The critical thing is I did not intend on saying all types of love out there are right. I would never say that and mean it that way.

Homosexuality isn't immoral, it's not even a choice. Homosexuality occurs naturally in nature as well as in humans, the only reason why people are so homophobic in today's generation is because of "holy" books. I'm sure future generations will look back at us in horror for oppression, just like how we look back in horror in the 50's, before the civil rights movement.

I would like to clarify by saying that homosexual feelings are not immoral. None of us choose the hand we are dealt. But we play it the best we can. To act on homosexual feelings is immoral.
That being said, I don't feel homosexuality is any more immoral than heterosexuality outside of marriage. And when I say marriage, I mean the marriage that God instituted from the beginning of man, not the legal variety that is up for whatever change floats its way. In a nutshell, I believe that any sexual relations outside a God-sanctioned marriage are immoral, be it with man or woman.
I also believe in treating all individuals with dignity, respect, and love. Others' personal choices should not influence how we treat them. Just because someone makes immoral choices doesn't mean we treat them badly. We should treat everyone like Christ would treat them, and he loved every sinner. No one is justified to hate.

Perhaps the question should be is illicit sex immoral. A person can be homosexual without having sex just as a heterosexual person can go without sex. Being homosexual in and of itself is not immoral. If you take sex out of the equation what would your answer be then?
