Men do fall in love, most do want to have children. In reality are men really meant to stay in one marriage or relationship.? Do religious beliefs, family and customs of society play a major role in one man, one woman marriages for life.? Women love to play house, shop for China, furniture, but do men really enjoy doing this, or just go along to please their spouse.? Older generations stayed together usually due to customs of society or religion, even when miserable. Are men genetically, and biologically not meant for a one life time relationship.? Marriage

A lot of men may complain about only being with one woman but there are men out there that want to settle down

Very true. Mostly because girls want security that they can not accomplish alone, other just like to feel wanted.

I have to agree on that. Often wonder if men really get so excited over picking out a wedding cake; all the frills women love about weddings.

They probably don't generally. My sister would quite like to get married to her long term partner but he can't really see the point of doing it.

I think the answer to that question is generally "no", but their are exceptions. Women are just normally conditioned most of their lives to aspire to have the husband, house with the picket fence, 2.5 kids, etc.

Guys generally see marriage as an end to their social life as they know it, and a life of domestication and boredom.

I may want to get married someday, I may not. Right now in my life I have priorities that supersede relationships.

I agree with many of your points. In older generations having sex before marriage was taboo, so many men got married to have sex. My father's generation were more committed to their obligations. Family pressure from relatives, also their religious beliefs, kept them married. This is a whole different scene today. Men love having children, love their children, but it is more of a macho thing with many men. Women assume men love playing house, shopping for home decor, all the fairytale stuff. Some men like it for awhile, but get very bored with this set up. It is not a man's nature.

Marriage fails over 50% of the time in the U. S. I think that tells you something right there ? Why do homosexuals want to go against those odds ?

Very good point about divorces. Money problems can cause marriage break ups, but look at Hollywood marriages, or wealthy politicians cheating all the time. These men have beautiful homes, plenty of money. I find homosexuals are very good friends first before wanting to become a lifetime couple. They have more of a lasting bond and similar tastes.

That's one major reason LOL.! I believe gay couples become good friends first then want to be in a permanent relationship. Not a majority of men and women who get married are truly good friends first.
