I've read when you're near death under meds. you hallucinate these things.Makes sense because I've hallucinated from a fever as a child and as a kid in the 70's lol

I watched a Wayne Dyer PBS special not long ago where in the course of his talk he interviewed a Mrs. Anita Moorjani, who had come back from a coma she'd slipped into in the final stages of cancer, wherein she had dwindled to a mere 80-some pounds and her organs had begun shutting down.

After having an indescribably beautiful near-death experience whilst comatose, which she could only afterward liken to 'expanding consciousness' and 'unconditional love', she chose to come back into her body and finish her mortal life. Within a few days, all the tumors had shrunk by about 70%, and within a few weeks she was completely cancer-free, and is today a very picture of health.

Very interesting story. I've heard of people who had cancer and have their cancer suddenly (between med visits) have been rid of cancer.

They are real EXPERIENCES, but they are not really out-of-body travel on some magical plane. I saw a lecture by either Neil DeGrasse Tyson or Micheal Shermer who said a close friend (and scientist) had had such an experience. He went to Yankee Stadium and sat with Albert Einstein. It's just an anoxic dream, and you'll see what you want or expect to see.

I've died and been revived 5 times. So I KNOW near death experiences are real.
But I can't say the same for OBE's.

I experienced it (an can recall it vividly), once during a hospitalization from an auto accident that i had received last rights and was in a coma.

Interesting. There was an article I read about a hospital that put up a bright sign up high, facing the ceiling, because they wanted to find out if anyone who had a OBE could tell them what the sign said. I don't remember for sure, but I don't think anyone mentioned it.

Not with me, It took days for me to stabilize before they could operate. Both eyes out of sockets and blibd, deaf and 10 to 12 fractures to the skull and jaw. Interestlingly, I could almost contol my direction while on this astro planeing experience.

I'm not arguing with you. It's never happened to me, thank goodness. It's just that I've studied bio-psychology and taught psychology of the brain so I'm more inclined to believe it is due to a dying brain. But I'm not discounting your experience. It sounds like you went through a really difficult time.

Yea, It took years to recover to the extent I did, was lucky. I was amnesic for many months and had kicked back to when i was 15-16 years old (Memory), which slowly returned. Incredible experience. Forgive my spelling, I have a vision disorder and if i don't re-read and edit its usually tough plus i'm using a lap-top with small keyboard. Regards

Actually I tore muscles in my gut from deep belly laughs in the 70's.However it's not for most people,that's for sure!
