no, nt love at first sight, but mutual attraction yes....love develops. at least for me it does. Meeting someone that i am attracted to........is the first important step, lets be sensible. sodahead.com

Lust yes but not love. I do not even believe in love period. That is only stuff for fiction.

I believe a person can fall in love almost instantly. Whether or not it has a future is a whole different matter.

That's just like saying you love someone for their looks and not their personality, yeah you can find someone attractive then fall in love with them, but to fall in love with that persons appearance? that's a bit conceited isn't it?

No,how can you love someone you don't even know? I believe in attraction at first sight but not love. We are all flawed human beings and to truely love someone you have to accept them flaws and all. "Love at first sight with your babies, you know them because you carried them inside of you for 9 months"! You have to know the person in order to love them.

Not exactly, I believe in lust at first sight but not love. Those who say they experienced love at first sight when they saw their now spouse are very sweet but I don't believe it. The love they experience with that person has been built through intense interaction during the time of their marriage, not from the first moment they locked eyes with that person. Just my two cents :O) There is nothing wrong with having an overwhelming attraction to someone that makes you want to approach them but for me, it is not love.

An attraction, of course, but love? Impossible. I know many will comment that it has happened to them but they are wrong. They had a very strong attraction and "like" for this person and then it grew into love. Love at first sight? What do you love about them? Their looks, their jobs, their personality... what? That is not being "in" love with anybody. I can see a new car and love it but I obviously wouldn't be "in" love with it.

Happened to me only once. We were both at a club, I spotted him and made eye contact until he came over. In a flash I had the impression He is me and I am him. It lasted a few years corresponding, then when I moved home to Maine we saw each other now and then. He was a model when I met him but he became a lobster fisherman and got strange, Oh well it was fun for a while :)...

There is no such thing. There is LUST at first sight which is solely based on physical attraction, but love only comes after you truly know the other person's soul.

Don't confuse LOVE and LUST. Each can exist without the other, but when you have both, there is no finer experience in life.

I believe it does happen, it happened once to me. I never believed in it until then. However, we had been talking before actually meeting face to face, so that may have had something to do with it.

...or should I walk by again? Ha ha. As a matter of fact it does exist; first time I laid eyes on my hubby I got physically sick, then fell madly in love. We got married within 4 months of our first date...26 yrs ago.

I think you can get a good idea of feelings that could develop, but i think you need to know the person a bit more before you love them. :P

Too many people claim to love someone a week into the relationship. Then they break up, and it's just awkward for everyone. >.<

I know I can be attracted to someone, but I don't love them. When you first meet someone your brain assesses them based on reproduction and how well they'd care for you and any offspring. There's no love involved, no matter what people may say. I've known my boyfriend for a little under 2 years, and I believe we do love each other. Even if our romantic love doesn't work out (I hope not!) then I'm willing to bet money that we'd still be great friends and be able to still love each other in that capacity.

This only happens in films, books and the minds of teenage girls. Old wives tale
