Attraction, sure. The desire to get to know someone, sure. Those in combination, sure. You can't love someone you don't know--you only love your idea of them, at that point.

Maybe it can. If I saw a really gorgeous girl walk into a room with a Converge shirt and she had tattoos, I think I would fall in love at first sight lol.

Lust at first sight - yes
Infatuation at first sight - yes
Love at first sight - no.

Love is not something that one falls into (or out of.) It is a deliberate act of the will. Many (if not most) people confuse love with lust and/or infatuation. They don't really understand what love is, let alone how to love someone.

It's not possible. You can have attraction at first sight, which may or may not develop into love. If it does, people sometimes think they fell in love at first sight. But you have to know somebody in order to fall in love with them.

I truly do believe in love at first sight.
Once I saw my girlfriend for the first time, there was just something so special about her & I just knew that I wanted to get to know her. She just so happened to feel the same way about me& we've been kickin it for 3 years (:

At least for me it doesn't... I think love grows as time passes, you can feel attracted to someone at first sight, but love comes from personality, lust comes from appearance - you have to get to know them before you love them...

I saw this girl from a distance. I KNEW then I was going to spend the rest of my life with her. Love/lust at first sight?? I don't know ... I didn't think "Corrrr!!!! Look at that!!!!". It was just "WOW! She's the girl for me!" 'Something' clicked.

Next year is our 25th wedding anniversary.

I believe in Lust at first sight. What you see standing in front of you or just walking by does nothing to tell you what a person is like. Some of the most beautiful people you would ever want to meet are not good.

Looks alone never tells you what you truly need to know in order to fall in love. NEVER!
To really love takes time.

I certainly believe in lust at first sight, and I'm willing to believe that some people "just know" when they see Mr/Miss Right, but actual love at first sight? You may think so, but I doubt it very highly. Love, by nature, takes time ad care to develop. Can't just drop a seed somewhere and BOOM! you have a flower. You plant the seed, you water it, you fertilize it, you fight off the weeds, pray it gets enough sun, and you wait. When it does grow it is all the more precious because of the time and effort put into it.

And I can't be with him. Just couldn't take his bipolar disorder and going to jail. I did love him when I laid eyes on him. But because he refuses to change that love was changed into a friendship love. And he wants more than that so he's no longer even my BFF.
