Do You Believe in Love at First Sight?

i was never one to believe in love at first sight... till the day i met him then i knew it was real <3

Could be you folks have misunderstood the word. That first sighting thing would probably be LUST, not love. Of course it could turn into love later.

I meant to answer no, of course I don't. There may be lust or even attraction
at first sight & you may even feel that way for some time. But only after really
getting to know someone will you either love, like, or dislike that person.

We all see a lot of people. And we think "wow, s/he's hot" a lot of the time. And we meet some of them. And we think "wow, s/he's cool and interesting and I like him/her and s/he likes me too" some of the time.

So guess what? That's what we did at the start of most of our relationships. When we eventually marry them, we think "that's right! I liked you from the start!" Well, of course we liked them from the start. That's why we continued a relationship with them. We remember that we liked them at the start. We forget that we liked a lot of other people from the start, too. Selective memory like this is called Confirmation Bias.

I believe in attraction at the first sight. I don´t believe in love at the first. I think you have to know each other better to love some one. Not only appereance is important...

Love takes alot of time and understanding. First sight is usually more sexual. I am very proud of you, Aly, for sticking to your principles, and don't EVER let anyone talk you out of them. Please don't think that there isn't someone out there for you..you must have faith. Whoever that person is I'm sure will ADORE you. I don't know how old you are, but please don't lose hope!

It takes only 10 seconds to determine a potential mate regardless of her intentions toward me perhaps. If she dont react fast enough I move on as if nothing happened.

I believe that you can feel a strong emotion similar to love when you first lay eyes on someone, but actual love doesn't come until after you've known them for a while.

Yes, absolutely. I did not believe it until it happened to me. I was always told, by my elders, that I would know it when the right one comes along.
These days it is all about lust, rather than love.

I really can't say one way or another --

for with some people -- they are truly BLESSED .. they saw each other and immediately recognized that special 'connection' .. the common-ness .. the commitment, the LOVE that they've shared all their lives ...

For others, they've never seen that special love at all ...

PERHAPS some may never find the one for them ... perhaps they will

I know this .. I've not experienced this .. but that doesn't invalidate the feelings of those who HAVE.
