Do you believe in GOD?

The word 'god' by itself is meaningless; you have to first define what you mean by god before I can say whether I believe in it or not. If by god you mean some omnipotent intelligent being who created the universe and existence itself and watches over us, then no, not only can I say that I do not believe that such a being exists, I am also comfortable in saying that I KNOW that such a being does not and can not exist.

I wish I could believe in a loving, merciful god protecting us, but there's no evidence for it's existence.And even If it does exist, judging by this world, it probably doesn't care for us that much.

I don't necessarily buy any written accounts of what God is tho. There's just too much randomness and bad stuff for an "intelligent" being to wish upon his creation. If he wanted them to believe in him, why make it hard? Just appear in the sky every day and people will bow down and worship. it's just how we roll. However, something got this whole existance thing rolling. Big Bang sounds great and all that, but something had to be there to make it go boom. Some are trying to call it God. ( the God particle to be exact. ). I'm good with that even though they'll find something even smaller when our technology ratchets up to the next level.

It's funny you scientific minds are always searching for extraterrestrial lifeforms your more than willing to believe that lifeforms exist that may be far more intelligent than us or for that matter have mental powers beyond our imagination,now when our ancient ancestors described their experience to us the best way they could,we laugh at their primitive ability to convey their experiences to whoever came after them, and then came Emperor Constantine and religion then took on a different look and was transferred into a Roman myth into the hybrid religion we today call mainstream Christianity.
