I believe in God, but not in organized religion. Each person's faith, whatever it be, is a personal thing, beliefs and faiths are as different as personalities.
Hundreds and hundreds of different gods have existed throughout human existence. Co-opted and driven to extinction they all have been until their current forms today. Honestly I know not if a higher consciousness exist, however all evidence indicates that deities exist solely within the minds of believers and their collective imagination.
The idea that we must worship beings that have demonstrated such a callous and belligerent attitude towards mortals based solely upon the fear of condemnation is laughable.
I meant to say 'no' because I don't believe in a personal father-like god. I believe that there has to be something out there that started the ball rolling. I don't believe we are sufficiently evolved to understand it. I don't believe in the big bang theory, either.
Which one? As there are countless faiths out there, none of which have any creditable evidence to back them.
As can you really prove the the various god and goddesses past and present are not real? I've met people that believe in Vishnu, Allah, and even people that claim to believe in the gods of ancient greece.
Since Muslims, Christians, Catholics, and many others all claim that since nobody has ever dis proven their gods they must be real till such time they are shown to be false. Follow that same stand of logic, how do you discount every other faith and choose?

but isnt the ultimate test in faith putting your heart into believing he will save you after death? in that case, if he does exist, then we can celebrate and the hypothesis is true, but we dont get a second chance to try something else if he doesnt
Yes, thats true, and i suppose since the bible is the rule of right living, living by faith would generally make you a good person, that is depending on the interpretation and extent to which it is carried out. I suppose i would just feel to curious if its actually working or not, living by the word of god and all
