Sorry Piperpc. I'm actually very interested in the responses - but I travel a great deal in my job and I'm not on SH alot. That doesn't mean that I'm not interested. Quite the contrary.

I do believe we have a creator, I'm just not sure who "he" is yet. I have some trouble, accepting the God of the Bible that I grew up with. The one I have felt, is not cruel and and vengeful.

I do understand what you said in your earlier post. I'm glad I had an opportunity to clear that up. Thanks for going ahead and responding to the poll topic.

I don't believe there's a God controlling the happenings in our universe, but rather that the universe itself is controlling what happens in it.

Our universe is much like a living organism in lots of ways. Energy flows through every part of the universe to every star along energy highways, and information too, like electrical signals and blood in our own bodies. Stars and comets "communicate" with each other using these energy highways, and they all have souls bound to both them and these highways, like the spiritual network covering Pandora in the film "Avatar".

Living organisms are also attached to these energy highways, exits where energy and information can jump from highway to highway, like exits in cities that lead to different parts of our world. We're part of that energy highway, whether we like it or not. We help the heavens make connections and calculations, and the heavens help us grow and learn.

It's not a bad theory, there are a great many theories out there that completely ignore our observed reality, so I like that you at least connect it to what you believe. I would still wonder however, if you can truly determine that even though this energy exchange exists, that there IS intent behind it. I'm not making fun, just trying to help you smooth out some of the edges I see that are borrowing from a more new age spirituality. Still, never hurts to try an idea on now does it? :)

The part of your comment about intent behind energy exchange is really interesting, and it makes sense if the information travelling along those highways has anything to do with it.

I personally do not believe in any religion. I see no reason to believe. I don't need to follow any doctrine or dogma to feel happy about my life. Plus, even if any gods did exist, I highly doubt they would even care about humans. They have an entire universe to watch over, filled with who knows how many other lifeforms. Humans really aren't as important as some might think when it comes to the grand scale of the universe.
