Do you believe in divorce?

The Biblical intent for marriage is for life, without a doubt. But some people just do not do so well together. The idea that love is blind only remains so for a very short duration and then the 'real' person/personality appears and then all bets are off!

There are some marriages that just can't make happen!

Except in the cases of abuse!

actually im not sure i should answer this one but what is a divorce really? it is a piece of paper that says legaly you are no longer two so whatever bills council tax etc: you pay will be paid as a single person....it's so the authorities can keep an eye on you.
the interesting thing i have found over the years is that its women who usually get fed up with marriage once the kids are grown......they want their freedom more than men....want to go out and hhave fun but men usually are happy with married life.....they do their part in the relationship and are happy to be the husband of..... they do their hobbies and the lady does hers and they go out together as well and are role models for the younger extended family... or should be. but i have several male friends who are decent working chaps that have provided for their families, given them a roof, helped educate them and been protector of wife etc:. has been there for their wives when needed. they are happy to stay that way into retirement doing things together but i noticed most women dont think like that. they seem to want to go their own way.........

It's not pleasant, but sometimes it's necessary.

Having caught my wife cheating on me with my business partner.. yea... Divorce is a good thing. Personal, and Business.

Got hitched at 22 and ended it at 25, paid child support 11 years before my ex told me the child was;nt mine. Asked the court to end support/ sorry charly.
Always wait untill the mid 30's to marry.

I used to believe in them. But, somehow, at my age, it would seem ridiculous to want to change from a good, permanent relationship to one that might be a bit more exciting but offer nothing but a heart attack.

It should not be taken lightly....but when there is no marriage left to save then its time.

People make mistakes, marriages fail. No one should be forced to stay with a person who doesn't make them happy.

I don't "believe" in divorce. I know there is divorce. Just like I don't "believe" in breathing.

In my case it was either believing in divorce or believing in life in prison!
( I don't do well in a confined space ) :(

Sometimes it's for the best.

It isnt a good thing. I believe in working it out and that marriage should be till death do us part. But it happens and sometimes there is nothing else to do.

It happened to me.

I could never divorce my fiance.

sometimes the problem is so big it can't be be fixed any other way...i've seen it all too well with my family.

I believe in love and the need to sustain it but it takes two in a marriage no matter how much one wants it to work forever,reality is what it is.

Pol POt took my wife's father out and killed him in 75, My mother in law stayed single. And I think my wife would do like wise. But I would hope she found love again if I passed on.

I'm so sorry about her Dad and millions of others who suffered his fate:(.I have spent 37 years married no way I would do it again,its sweet you would want her to have love she is a lucky woman,God bless your family:)

You have to try, but if it's not working, there may be no solution.

If parents are continually fighting, this is unhealthy for kids, so yes, I believe divorce is better for the whole family. However, I feel that couples don't try now days.

If people no longer love each other they shouldn't be forced to stay together legally forever.

Some people were never meant to be together others grow apart over time. Some marriages are abusive others are boring. What ever it is that causes the divide make sure to part on good terms the only ones happy are the lawyers making money on your unhappiness.

It is a necessary evil. Not all couples can keep the love alive. Lets take Kim Kardashian she couldn't do it past 90 days. At any event because of infidelity, abuse, physical and or mental no one needs to be required to stay with someone who treats them poorly. You only go around once in life or at least that is what I see for now, so why not be happy.

My parents got a divorce and they needed it. People change...

God expects us to make mistakes, But He doesn't expect us to wallow in them.
