I hate listening to someone that I know lies all the time. With every word, I ask myself, "Is that another lie?!?" For this reason, I try to always tell the truth because I don't want to be like what I hate.
I'm not sure this is as black or white as it should be....we all tell those little "fibs" on occasion to spare someone's feelings.....but generally as they say"honesty is the best policy "
I got no problem telling the truth and being honest in my dealings. I've been screwed over by a few people before and it always has come back and bitten them on the ass.
well at least most of the time, i do tell my five year old how much i love my hair when she gives me a make over with lots of bows and knots in my hair.
I hate to open a can of worms and mean no disrespect (my husband is Catholic ) but i dont know how you can say ALL catholics considering the scandals with some of the priests and what alot of us perceive as a much less than honest approach taken by the church.
There are times, however, when it's best to keep your damned mouth shut, because your words and honesty might harm pr hurt someone far more than not saying anything at all...
You may have wealth...that only gets you fake friends and lovers. You may have fame... more of the same. In the end, all you truly have is your word and reputation. Without honesty, they have no worth.
In some situations, yes, and some situations, no. Sometimes people need to be lied to because you need to protect them. Sometimes you need to protect yourself and in post modernity what is right and what is wrong is a lot more variable. But, if you expect people to only tell you the truth then you better respect that and do it yourself. There is also a definitive difference between vindictive and protective.
Mostly, I do..But it dpends on the situations..Guys..R U really gonna tell her that her new hair cut looks stupid..or that she looks terrible in that dress she's wearing..If U intend on

Lies will only complicate things and you will have lie to cover another lie and eventually you get cought and feel stupid after all is said and done.
so why set your self up for a redicule?
right?
I USED to but human beings are the most backstabbing species the lie cheat and more to get what they want if your honest it can be used back at you in work and other areas of your life ,ID rather tell my inner most thought's to my dog ,the more dishonest you are the better you get on in life iv seen it all ,Humans what can i say.
If there was another choice, as yes and no together.. that is what I would answer. I have always believed honesty is very important, and it's a good thing to strive for. However there are some people who you know can't handle the truth. I have found that when a person who asks a direct question and a truthful answer will hurt them or create chaos, better to not be so honest. Children and elderly people sometimes can't handle the truth. It can be a judgement call as to which is better.

And Cartel is an awesome band :)
That's not honesty, its cruelty.
