There are only 8 states that allow gay marriage in the U.S. I think gay marriage should be legal because... love dosent choose a gender,its none of your business if two men /women want to get married and what makes you think you have the right to stop them.

    It gives homosexual couples the same right as heterosexual couples. It's a human rights issue and I am always for equal human rights. Did you know that until 1967 couples of different races couldn't marry? I see no difference here. It's discrimination based off something as natural as your skin color.

    There is no equality represented in the relationship of a homosexual couple versus a heterosexual couple. Classifying them as equivalent is irresponsible.

    They love each other, they want to be in a committed relationship. The only difference is they are the same gender but that doesn't make them less important and it doesn't mean you can oppress them and tell them they shouldn't get married.

    Same gender does not make them equal, that is the point. It is akin to classifying male and female the same. It is called freedom, I am just as free to keep them from gaining acceptance for their deviance as you are to promote their deviance.

    Deviance is defined as, outside the norm, at best they are 3% of the population, that is a classic definition of deviance. Human rights are defined by the whims of society, they always have been. Currently the society does not accept their deviance.

    Do you classify denying a sibling to marry another sibling oppression as well? Part of societal constructs is oppressing deviant behavior, such as rape, robbery, or murder. All those people who choose to act in that manner are oppressed by the whims of society. You are grasping at points you have not contemplated, but that is typical when dealing with ignorant people.

Theyre consenting adult human beings and to put them to any lower standards is plain ignorant. How would you react if you were in that position because you're heterosexual? Not too well I'm assuming.
