I add someone if they're funny or if they share the same interests as me. But I never add people who only want me as an accessory to their friends list.

I always look at their profile first and check for a few things like how old they are (I don't typically add many teens), their interests, etc. If they're Twilight obsessed, I won't add them. If I've never spoken to them and it doesn't look like we have anything in common really, I won't add them. Other than that, I do.

I dont want to be rude and I figure if they decide Im a nutcase or something they can delete me. So far every request I have recieved has been from really great people who are funny and insightful. Ive learned some good stuff!

Most of the time.
There was this one girl who sent me one and I just wanted to know why since it appeared that she loved everything I hated so i asked her and she kinda freaked out and got really nasty. I would have added her too. I learned my lesson after that,lol.
