Absolutely; if a person is going to die in agony anyway, and they would prefer to die quickly and painlessly, it is barbaric to make them suffer needlessly.

because whos to say if its not decided by the person who is actually dying. dont we already have that in a way you can sign a legal document that states if you want to be taken off life support.

There are living wills, but that's only for passive euthanasia, and I don't think they're legally binding, at least over here...

Yes

If the person is of sound mind and capable of deciding for himself or herself, that is that person's choice.

What I disagree with is people making a choice to kill unborn babies or others not themselves.

No one has the right to take the life of another except in self-defense or the defense of others, including if necessary to save the life of the mother. But not medically unnecessary abortions. And not euthanasia decided by others.

Considering the nation has no trouble killing a fetus out of selfishness, I am sure there are many who would advocate killing the elderly as well.

That's really a tough one to answer ,I know myself that I would rather die then be a vegtable or a burden to my family.
