That's disgusting. If she wants to stay home, fine. But that's not her "place".

If the family can make ends meet and that is the family's agreement, so be it. And if she's good at cooking, send me some. ;-)

    Only if she wants it.
But isn't being an at home wife and mother a long gone luxury.

It's also in an office, in a restaurant, in a school, in a church, in stores, in the military in a hospital, anywhere she CHOOSES to be. Men too.

But some people who said yes said "Anywhere" or said they chose to be home, but choosing something else would be fine too. So I don't think you can equate "Yes" with "stupid" here.

    Good for your parents. :)

Er, was the cutting firewood more about the logs or about not removing body parts?

My Caribbean bro-in-law holds a coconut in one hand and cuts it in half with a machete with the other. He said being able to do that is like a "coming of age" rite.

are you asking if thats how I feel or are you telling me thats how it is? that's her place if the wife and husband decide together that's whats best and if the wife and husband decide it's best for the man to stay home than that's his place...

If a woman decides to be a house wife than that's fine. If she decides to have a career than that's fine as well.

A woman's place is where ever she wants to be. But if she chooses to stay at home, there is NOTHING wrong with that either, because it's her choice. I am choosing to stay at home because I'm retired. My job is to make my hubby's easier because he still has 5 yrs to go before he can retire. And that's MY choice.

Women are people. People sometimes don't have kids, choose not to and some of them aren't even married or married to men. Women are all individuals.

A woman's place is where she wants to be. If she wants to be a stay at home mum, that's her decision. It's all cool :-)

Not always, it may be if she wants to be and she should be there, but she should choose where her place is.

I think it depends on the family, but a man is just as capable of staying home as a woman is. I know that I do not plan to have kids, therefore I would not like to stay at home if there is no reason for me to be home. Med-school, here I come :D

Not necessarily. It depends on each individual family. In some cases the woman may the one set up for a more successful career and income whereas the man is better equipped to handle the kids and home.

Of course not, I didn`t think that anybody thought like that anymore. However, if a woman wants to be a stay at home mom, there`s nothing wrong with that...it`s still the toughest, most unappreciated job in the world.
