Do women have a responsibility to keep themselves looking good for their husbands?

Men have that responsibility, too.

As much responsibility as a man has to look good for his wife. Too many women get married and then,

a) stop having sex
b) stop dressing sexy like they used to, or
c) get fat

Worse if it's all of the above. Unfair! No wonder some men cheat when that's what they're dealing with!

Maybe only shaving, but other no.

Everyone has the responsibility to maintain their cleanliness and appearance.

Why wouldn't that happen? Men should keep up their appearance.

Because they're men. Why should they? Why should men and women make sure that they look good all the time? I sure as hell dont, as I have better things to do with my time, and im not that vain to do so. Yes it's nice to keep up their appearances now and then, but its not a responsibility, especially not for women. We do have more important things to do with our time, rather than putting makeup on to make our husbands happy.

What about when a woman is ill? Is she expected to get up and throw make up and fake tan on just to impress her man? Why is everything about looks these days? If thats all a partner cares about, then they're not worth being with you in the first place for being so shallow.

They should do it for their own self esteem and dignity

I don't believe partners should have to, but if they do, that works both ways.

Depends on the husband I guess, but in general the better both work on it the better they look together and keep the flame lit.

Its a matter of love and respect. Both partners should try to look as good naked as possible. Anything less is just rude.

but also the men have it for their wives . There may be times to let loose but , generally both should take care of themselves for each other . I don't want him to stay like garbage & I don't want him to think the same for me , too .

It does work both ways. I do believe we should all keep are bodies healthy and take care of ourselves. But I damn sure won't be going to the gym and trying to get my body hot if my husband is sitting on the couch slowly gaining a bear belly! no sir. One partner shouldn't expect their spouse to stay in shape if they don't themselves.

Women should do what's best for them. It depends on the relationship. If it is a mutual, caring one - the two should support each other in ensuring a healthy lifestyle. As someone else said, it goes both ways.

Absolutely. He'll still love you but if you want him to be attracted to you, you should stay attractive. People shouldn't become complacent, fat and lazy just because they're secure in their relationship.

Not certain responsible is the correct term.I believe that at the end of the day nothing is more welcoming on the other side of the door than a loving home and a sexually desirable mate.

On face value, that is a really ugly statement! Both partners need to do whatever they feel is important to keep their mate happy. Definitely works both ways. And remember - beauty is in the eye of the beholder. If you truly love one another, looks are meaningless :)

Look how you wish for yourselves. Appearances only mean so much in the long run.

Besides, if they're the love of your life, they won't care about that because they love you anyway.
