It depends... if I'm in an irritable mood, I find them annoying.

But usually I'm just happy.

I love them, they hang all around my house, I even have a couple of small ones hanging in the bedroom window..when the cats come in and out at night they jingle. I just love the sound.

It depends. Big heavy ones tend to get annoying. Small, tinkling ones are soothing.

I love wind-chimes and put them out every spring after the last snow melts. I have 4 on my front porch and 2 on the corners of my garage. I often go out to the porch on a warm, breezy night after the girls are asleep and listen to the soft, lilting sounds they make.
Very calming.
