sometimes yes and sometimes no.. Not only have I have to do this more than once but the whole family does, just with communicating with the damn device.. Like so, "Did you say call -----," then me or all of the family! "No!" for the millionth time with the bloody device lol!
You were joking but you may have been more right than you know. If I mimic the accent of the region I'm calling that supplies the device, THEN it usually understands me.
Well it makes sense. She, however, just gave me a dirty look. I ditched my accent when I was a teenager because I got tired of visiting relatives in the North and having their friends ask me to "talk Southern" for them. It got old fast.
