I think alot of teens are out of control ...no proper upbringing, lack of morals and because they are teens will get a slap on the wrist...this is an outrage at the very least and they should be punished to the full extent of the law!

When im 18 I will have an official liscense for a hand gun...If I EVER see some kids doing this, they sure as heck need to start running. NO one deserves to be treated like this....ugh I wish we would bring back the gallows....it would be so much peacfuller now adays.

I've no idea what teens think and do these days, however "thrill killing" has been around for decades, and it seems to be made more acceptable if the victim is of a different race, or ethnicity than the perpetrators. Regardless, with the "themes" of many of the video games that teens play now a days I'm not surprised at this resurgence in behavior. And yes I blame the parents for their lack of discipline in the childs life.

Your very right but it is not only in Chicago, it is all over, a couple of years back a homeless man was killed in Champaign Il because these kids wanted to see how it felt to kill him.

just because some little creeps enjoy it doesn't mean all teens do, some of us have morals. and there are easily just as many, if not more adults who do the same thing....

When you have a government that tacitly condones the criminal actions of specific groups by giving them defensive support and excuses, you create a situation where criminal activity festers. Many cities who have loose attitude toward minor crimes see these crimes mushroom into far more serious events. Subsidized housing has that effect on a community. Here in Dallas, what used to be a nice area is now a major crime hub due to the twin towers of subsidized housing and sanctuary for illegal aliens. While people will scream "that's racist" you cannot get around the differences in the crime stats prior to the Section 8 designation for area apartments and the statistics now. Numbers don't lie unless they are fudged. It's gotten to the point that our local news will not list names or ethnicities when reporting serious crime. But residents know when you mention certain streets exactly who was involved. I am pretty sure that is the same situation in Chicago.

Not all teenagers are like that. The ones who killed the guy sound mentally ill. Or maybe they're just idiots.

Too bad these Teens dont pick on an elderly person that is armed... They are cowards,, they pick on people that are more or less defensless and they wouldnt have the guts to do it alone.....

Which is why I have no problem killing them FIRST.

When adult citizens elect thugs to run the country, when one of the two major political parties shows NO humanity in how it talks and acts, when leaders deliberately try to divide citizens, when people cavort in city streets dressed in practically nothing, when bad is praised and when good is laughed at and ridiculed, I ask you ................................ WHY IS THIS BEHAVIOR SURPRISING? IT SHOULD BE EXPECTED. Did I mention one thing that demonstrates ANY sense of morality or goodness? Don't think so.

They are being taught not to have any respect for anyone. They may be in jail, but they'll get a slap on the wrist and set loose to do it again. Not all would do it.

Most kids are not doing that its a few who are on drugs and need money. There are more older people from the age of forty and over who kill more kids than kids killing older people. Don't take my word for it look up sasitics.

You are asking the reader to take your word for it or do the work.
I could just as easily claim your statement is nothing but propaganda and be just valid.

This is a massive and unfounded generalization about teenagers. Just because a few scumbags decided to do something completely callous and unacceptable does not mean that every teenager on the planet would do the same thing. Teenagers, like adults, have their share of idiots in their ranks.
