Do stressed out men prefer heavier women? Apparently so, according to a study reported by Time magazine. The study, published in the journal PLoS ONE, reports that "when men were placed in stressful situations, then asked to rate the attractiveness of women of varying body sizes, they tended to prefer beefier frames, compared with unstressed men whose tastes skewed thinner."
“This suggests that our body size preferences are not innate, but are flexible,” said study co-author Martin Tovée of Newcastle University in the U.K., in an email, noting that they may be influenced by our particular environment and resources.

Besides, who wants a woman who looks like a shrivelled teenage boy? God made women to have CURVES on them! To be BEAUTIFUL! Not bloody skeletons.

What I'm trying to say is... skinny ain't sexy, any way about it.
Curvy isn't about being a heap of flesh. But you do have to have some flesh on your bones to be curvy. Marilyn Monroe wasn't skinny by today's standards, but she was hawt.
And while women with a bit extra - not bloated women that look like corpulent men, but slightly overweight women, who have a figure and just a bit more besides - are more attractive than so-called "normal" or skinny women IMHO.
I will agree that balls of blubber, male or female, aren't sexy in the least.
Men may then feel more pressure to look for a women who would be the best candidate to assure the perpetuation of said genes. Females with wide, thick hips and buttocks is the most reliable (albeit primal) indicator that men use to identify the most fertile in the tribe, and be most able to carry to full term and healthful birth.
