Yes indeed they do!! It don't always happen when we expect it, but they are answered. There are times when they aren't answered. That's when you are asking for Unreasonable reasons..

Many have died despite prayers.."There are times when they aren't answered. That's when you are asking for Unreasonable reasons.."

There is a time and a season for all living things. No one knows the exact time when their season is up. I know that it can be very painful when some die young or to us, untimely. We just have to roll-with-the-punches and move forward..

just like playing the lottery, what ever you have to tell yourself. to keep your mind believing in the non-existent.

They work as much as wishful thinking does.

I guess it depends on the prayer and the definition of "actually". There's little evidence that prayers can make wishes come true, but praying can have a meditative effect ...which is "actually" very valuable.

They haven' fo me. But then I am not a real believer. I think that somewhere, somehow there might be a designer of all this and just maybe it knows about me but I doubt it.

Of course not. Try praying instead of going to the emergency room.

Yes. You can communicate with your Father in heaven and He can communicate with you.

    That is what prayer is.

If you think you can have whatever you want for your own pleasure, however, like a magic wand, then forget it.

    DEPENDS on one's goal.

If you want a change, no, they are meaningless.

If your goal to to, NOT take responsibility for your own actions, not really to make a change, but to just complain, beg or whine, then, yes, yes they work quite well. lol

If they ever do in a medical context, it's probably due to a possible placebo effect amongst believers.
