Do organized religions have a positive or negative impact on society?

religion is an effective weapon or source of justification for actions committed. it can be good and bad depending on whom wields the power. at this moment, however, organised religion is having a negative impact on society.

Religion is a tool. Religion is a weapon. Religion is power, but it also can be a threat.

It all depends how a mortal uses it.

Religions have Done much Good to Mankind and also Terrible Things also
but you cant Blame Everyone of a Particular Religion
you can't say because of 9/11 was done by muslim hijackers then all muslims are terrorists
anymore than you can say the Christian abortion clinic bombers or the Oklahoma city bomber who was Christian Then All Christians are Terrorists
you cant Blame ALL of them for the Actions of a Few
or saying because an Athiest Dictator killed people then all Atheists want to kill people

Everyone is held accountable for his or her own actions
Religion in the Right hands can bring Good things to the World
in the Wrong hands it can be a Weapon to Blind the Followers into doing unspeakable Crimes against humanity
