Do most people really ever live and truly love or do most simply end up parroting comforting myths, numbly seeking communal excuses and others to "love" into making their own lame existence worth it?

I think most people are just simply scared to be a lone. Your question is very deep so personally I don't think there is an "easy" yes or no answer; basically it's a question in the so to speak "gray" zone, In my opinion no ones existence is so to speak "lame". I however do wanna point out it seems today people just throw the word "love" "i love you" around way to quickly which would then (makes me feel) there is no TRUE meaning behind. Do I think love exist...... yes.

Do I think that people mimic the rituals and myths to show love and social living in order to exist? Yes. Social referencing happens as a baby. It is hardwired into our brains and is part of our humanity. Everything a human does to get rewarded or punished is contingent on the environment and the actions/reactions of fellow humans. And whether it is lame or exciting is subjective. Some of the lamest people are happy and fulfilled. Good question though.

Good question. As individuals you have to take certain actions and words at face value. Whether the person uttering them is good or not for their words. The point is words have power and whether they are say earnestly or not does not matter. The power comes from the belief!
